In the first week of September, the Digital Cluster of Catalonia had the opportunity to participate in ANDICOM 2024, one of the most important technology and telecommunications events in Latin America. As part of the EPICENTRE Eurocluster project and with the support of ACCIÓ, Isabel Botey and Yeimy Ospina from Clúster Digital de Catalunya were able to explore first-hand the digital ecosystem of Colombia, an emerging market with great opportunities for innovation and growth .

During the days of the fair, they held very enriching conversations with local companies, which helped them better understand their innovation needs. Through networking sessions and business meetings, they generated more than 124 business contacts and organized 9 formal meetings with companies in the sector. Among the outstanding activities, they also participated in 15 Meet & Business sessions, through which they were able to connect with top-level companies.

One of the most valuable experiences was the meeting with the Chambers of Commerce, where they were able to establish connections with cluster associations and companies from different regions of Colombia. These relationships open new doors for the Digital Cluster for future international collaborations, as well as sharing successful strategies with clusters around the world.

New opportunities for internationalization

This participation has been an excellent opportunity to identify internationalization opportunities for the member companies of the cluster and for the companies participating in the EPICENTRE program, coordinated by the Digital Cluster.

From the Digital Cluster of Catalonia, The next steps from the Digital Cluster of Catalonia is to continue promoting these internationalization opportunities and collaborations for our members and facilitating the creation of new business links with strategic markets such as Colombia.
