Clúster Digital takes part in the SME & Clusters Assembly 2026 to strengthen its international outreach

Rosa Porta,

Clúster Digital has participated in this key gathering of the European SME and cluster ecosystem, held from 2 to 4 November in Dublin. With a dedicated GATE5.0 stand, the cluster also had the opportunity to showcase the programme's progress and connect with other European stakeholders.

From 2 to 4 November, Yeimy Ospina and Isabel Botey, from Clúster Digital's team, took part in the SME & Clusters Assembly 2026, held at the Convention Centre Dublin (Ireland). The event, organised by the European Commission and the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, brought together representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises, clusters, institutions and stakeholders from across the European innovation ecosystem.

For the first time, the SME Assembly and the European Cluster Conference were held jointly, creating a meeting point to share knowledge, address the competitiveness challenges facing European businesses and explore new opportunities for international cooperation. Clúster Digital's participation reflects its commitment to European cooperation and the internationalisation of Catalonia's digital ecosystem, with the aim of promoting joint initiatives that contribute to business competitiveness and innovation.

A meeting point for innovation and European collaboration

Clúster Digital's participation in the event provided an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the main trends and initiatives shaping the European ecosystem, as well as to establish new connections with clusters, SMEs and other innovation stakeholders from across Europe.

The event addressed key issues for the future of the European business landscape, including SME internationalisation, the practical application of artificial intelligence in business, resilient value chains and the role of clusters as drivers of innovation and competitiveness.

GATE5.0 takes centre stage at the Euroclusters space

The Clúster Digital team had its own stand for GATE5.0, a Eurocluster project coordinated by Clúster Digital de Catalunya. Together with the consortium partners, InovCluster (Portugal) and AgriFood Capital (the Netherlands), the stand provided an opportunity to present the initiative, showcase the projects participating in the programme's first phase and connect with SMEs, clusters and other European stakeholders interested in the digital and green transformation of the agrifood sector.

In addition, Clúster Digital took part in the Side Event of Euroclusters and Meta-clusters, organised by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), which brought together representatives of the various Euroclusters and Meta-clusters projects. The session provided an opportunity to share experiences, exchange knowledge and discuss the challenges and opportunities for collaboration among European clusters.
